Wellbeing Intervention: SAP
SAP is an early intervention programme which aims to improve attendance, inclusion, behaviour, academic performance and self esteem by developing emotional resilience through weelky hour long support groups. At Glanhowy Primary School we often identify pupils who could potentially gain from this programme through the results of their PASS Survey, a survey which is undertaken twice a year by all children in year 2 to 6 to measure their feelings and attitudes towards school. Should your child be identified as a someone who could potentially benefit from this kind of support a consent letter would be sent home. Pupils are then taken in small groups for these sessions where they learn to support and listen to each other as they discuss their time at school, celebrate their accomplishments and talents and discover new approaches to their individual areas for development.
